Take to the skies and get a different view of Blackpool's famous attractions!

Our Helicopter Trial Lessons are designed to give the participant the chance to have a go at flying a helicopter under the supervision of one of our highly qualified flying instructors.

Take off from Blackpool airport on Squires Gate Lane and head up the promenade, past Blackpool Pleasure Beach, over the three piers, past Blackpool Tower and over the River Wyre before coming back to the airport to try your hand at hovering.

You can choose from either a 30 minute or one hour trial lesson in either the Robinson R22 or Robinson R44. The trial lesson includes pre-flight briefings and great care is taken to ensure maximum enjoyment without apprehension.

The Trial Lesson comes in the form of a gift voucher and can be used at any time within a twelve-month period.   At the end of the flight the participant will be presented with a certificate signed by your instructor.

Safety

Our helicopters are maintained on site by Brian Seedle Helicopters, licensed engineers check the helicopters every fifty flying hours and our instructors check each aircraft thoroughly before each flight.

Spectators

Participants are more than welcome to bring spectators who can look around and have their pictures taken in the helicopter. We have a comfortable lounge where spectators can stay during the flight but also view their loved one taking off, hovering and landing.

Weather

Flying is weather dependant; on the day of the flight please contact us to see if the weather is suitable. If it is not suitable we will be able to re-book the flight for another day.

Limitations

Participants must be under 16 stones (102kg) to fly in the Robinson R22 and under 21 stones (133kg) to fly in the Robinson R44. This is due to the mass and balance limitations of the aircraft.
